Carwood first partnered with VOiD Applications to address their SEO position. The collaboration began with the development of an eCommerce website for their high-performance motorsport division, Brise. Following the success of that project, which VOiD continues to maintain, Carwood engaged VOiD Applications to revamp their main website, aiming to improve its design, usability, and SEO performance.

The existing site had numerous pages and complex navigation, which created a poor user experience and made content difficult to locate. Following the discovery phase, the design process was initiated, with every aspect of the website created from scratch. Iterations continued until the design fully aligned with the client’s vision. The development phase focused on building the site from the ground up, with an SEO strategy being implemented to enhance visibility and performance.

This project was a complete rebuild, with a focus on showcasing Carwood’s core offerings, including their products and services. A key feature of the new site was integrating the “Quality Parts that don’t cost the earth” campaign, which highlights Carwood’s commitment to ethical practices, environmental responsibility, and remanufacturing.

A standout aspect of the project was VOiD’s proven process. The website is an entirely bespoke design, and reflects close collaboration with the client to ensure their expectations were met for both aesthetics and functionality.

Technical Specification

The Carwood website was built using WordPress, leveraging Elementor as the page builder to deliver a completely unique and bespoke design tailored to the client’s needs. The platform was chosen for its flexibility and ease of use, ensuring a seamless content management experience for the client. It was a key requirement that the client could add and edit the website if needed, Elementor allows them to do that with ease.

The website is designed to be fully extendable, with plans for a following phases already in motion. New pages, blog posts, and knowledge centre articles can be added as part of an ongoing SEO strategy to enhance content and user engagement. To ensure optimal performance, the website employs standard CDN and caching policies, as well as Cloudflare integrations for speed and responsiveness. Additionally, it integrates with Google services and Microsoft Clarity, providing robust SEO tools and monitoring capabilities to track and improve site performance over time.

Conclusion

Since its launch, the new Carwood website has received overwhelmingly positive feedback both internally and externally. Users find the information much easier to locate, and enquiries are now routed directly to the appropriate teams within the business, improving efficiency. While the SEO implementation is ongoing, initial results are promising, with a 16% increase in visibility for tracked keywords reported in the first few months. The improved performance and usability of the site have made a tangible impact, with the client expressing significant satisfaction with the outcomes.
